Protein Experiment

The question: Do protein supplements actually help recover from workouts and make you feel better while working out?

The Test: Eat nothing but protein supplements for one day. After working out in the morning I had one Muscle milk protein shake (25g), then at lunch time I had another Muscle milk shake (another 25g). One hour before my Mixed Martial Arts class I had a Detour bar (30g), after my class I had a Met RX "Big 100" bar (31g).

The Results: I felt really good during my class, my stamina was increased, and my strength felt good. After class I was tired, but not exhausted. The morning after I normally feel like I can barely move, but I felt good this morning, really good. My verdict is, protein supplements actually do help.
